2012: The End of Days is Definitely Coming, and It Comes Wrapped in the Package of Sara Palin, Obama, or Any of Our Esteemed Politicians

There is not a high priced ticket for this show. No high-priced special effects wowing us or touting "We've Been Warned." Instead, it has been handed to us under the presumption that we are a mindless bunch of Neanderthalers who have already been rendered instinct. That we will look past the stupidity of giving even one moments' thought to this ridiculous, absurd, inane excuse for what a mere 9% of the population might consider to be a serious Presidential candidate for 2012…and listening for one more second to her embarrassing blathering. My biggest question is not whether the end is coming for our earth in 2012, but rather…is the end of our sanity what the Mayans were prophesying?

If Sara Palin is even remotely considered for nomination to our highest office, then I will literally beg for the crust of the earth to rise up, to shake us out of our collective misery, and to bring an end to this unbelievable stupidity. I will offer up prayer, shedding all doubt for a God I don't know in utter desperation for Him to say…"what I have created has not turned out to be in my own image…and I need to start over…s—t, I screwed up." I will beg for Him to start over rather than go through seeing any human being diminish our entire race by embracing this sad excuse for a public figure.

2012 may be the End of Days, whether we pay attention to this dimwit or not. We currently have a very smart, pragmatic, intuitive person in the White House…but he is showing us no better action than any person who doesn't know what they read to keep on current events. So is he causing the End of Days now so we can thankfully avoid Sara Palin even getting sworn in? Are we screwed either way…smart, stupid…doesn't matter. Lobbyists run Washington, so it really doesn't matter who our figure head is. Either they all are utterly stupid….or they are all utterly greedy. There are only two choices folks.

For those of you still hanging onto hope and change, have you talked to your friendly banker lately?

2012…the end is near...Palin is just our latest warning…Obama is our current warning. In the End, it really makes no difference….unless we shake it up ourselves. In 2010 or 2012..our salvation will be to vote lobbyists out…vote the Independents in, or proceed at your own peril.

Any time spent talking about Palin is time away from the other moron...Obama. We are being dumbed down either way...is this all we have left?!

By the way, nowhere did the Mayans say life as we know it is going to end in 2012. 2012 is going to pass as benignly as 2000 did. I know, a little off topic, but thought I'd mention that.

For those of you still hanging onto hope and change, have you talked to your friendly banker lately?

I meet with my Certified Financial Planner in a week to discuss asset allocation of my investments - which from 2007 through September 2009 has lost roughly 35% of their value and have now nearly fully recovered.

Personally, while frustrated with the speed of policy decisions from president Obama, I firmly believe he takes the long view, understands how government operates and have been watching the gradual change taking place. Some may view the progress as not very momentous, but I see things for what they are - slow and steady progress. The government isn't a speed boat or an oil tanker, it represents an entire nation with varied opinions and ideology, that takes slow and steady pressure to change and he's doing just that.

Having lived through considerably more anarchy that was the 1960/70's, the national dialog today is but a far removed twinkling of what was true national chaos.

In the end, I suspect Sarah will have her talk show.

In a few years, a decade at most, many of the present day wingnuts will have died from old age and fresh and clear thinkers can rise to fill the ranks of a newly formed GOP.

Welcome back Lisa. Well done. You have captured the debacle of national "Media" driven politics in a few sentences.

We may very well be screwed. But I don't believe we will be let off ( End of the world) that easily.

My dear mother has a theory that Hell is here on earth. We have proof of that at hand.

I take great joy in the fact that Sarah P Dogs book is sitting on the discount racks as we write. She'll be gone soon.

Best to you.

Very colorful rant on the "Killa' from Wassila." I don't share your pessimism for the current administration, and I'm not quite ready to "throw out the baby with bathwater." but...

Nice, well written article.

Thank you Lisa for putting into words what more people are thinking than the powers that be want to admit. They are going their own blind way, each entrenched in the mistaken idea that they are the only ones right, and the rest are crackpot inbreds who don't have the intelligence to read governments sites and understand what they say or who actually listen to interviews and remember what was said one time then contradicted on other times.

News flash .... We do read, and understand, and we listen, and remember. And more and more Americans are doing all three! The years of lies to just make us feel all fuzzy and happy that we followed your empty promises are coming to a close and I for one am ecstatic when I see people stepping up and asking for our government to be held accountable for its actions on our behalf. This isn't an Obama thing or a Palin thing, its been brewing for a long time and the people are finally finding they are not alone in their distrust with the statice quo.

So yes, kudos to you Lisa for your thread... lolol. and I giggled at your use of the 2012. Maybe hubby and I should rethink giving up the time share on top of the mountain in South America if those two are our only choices.. lolol...To bad we couldnt find another independent like Ross Perot!

I am hoping and praying that we are all doing "all three"...more than ever. Accountability can only be in the form of voting em out...lobbyists seem to have us locked out otherwise...I distinctly remember Obama saying they wouldn't have a seat at the table...oy vey.

Liberals like to believe there are no Republican women. As they do with blacks, democrats think women should act, think, talk and particularly, vote, the way they want them to. Democrats set their dogs on any women who don't toe the party line. And what's so amazing is how many of those dogs are bitches.

We have to restore some order in our society. The biggest issues are not who is President although the one we have now is the preview of the antichrist. Our countries biggest issues are still

The breakdown of the family

Too much individual debt

Obesity

The dumbing down of our kids

And if there is such a thing as an "anti-Christ" or a "preview" to one (lol thats a funny one, to suggest he or she or it would require an opening act), what makes you think it wasn't Hitler, Bin-Laden, or some other obivious murderous tyrant? If you chose to believe Bibical predictions yet selectively ignore the obivious choices for the title, isn't that an insult to those who died by thoses hands by favoring to use this attempt at insult as a means to display bias?

If so, they got the date wrong. We elected Bush in 2000.

Huge brainfart seems to demand a more long term diagnosis. Right after we elected GW not once, but twice because we weren't delving deep enough into his shenanigans...we turn around and decide it's a good idea not to question our current President...I hope you both will be regular commenters on my upcoming articles...my goal will be to write for all of us on either side of the aisle because that's where I'm sitting right now. Oboma is the Beast

I wish the American people would follow the facts

      1) obama was born in Africa and shipped to Hawaii to learn the muslim faith. By his grandfather. From his teachings he next followed the REV. Wright. He was under the teachings of a very racist rev for 20 years he learned his trade the right hand man then what happens he wakes up one day and he never agreed with the teaching what a joke the silver tongued deceiver and the fools in America fell for that story.

His followers are very wealthy and have lived a long successful live they were pawns in the bigger picture. They would have you believe that his father was muslim and his mother was not. No muslim man could marry a non-believer that is what All muslim men follow the Koran a book twisted and intrepid by muslim murders, thieves, and rapists.

If you would remember a few months ago the question of his birth it was closed as fast as it was open.

      2) politics when he became a senator he was a nobody at least a nobody that was a very smooth speaker. Once again his wealthy supporters who had lived a full life waiting for his coming They made a pact so many years ago to support him when the time was right.

Most pacts were made with the families generations past.

Back to his roots well few know even his wealthy followers have no idea why they are behind him.,

      3) Follow the facts he has the ability to fool people. How is it a nobody jumps in to the race for president and with help he became the nomination and then won the position to destroy this country and in time he will. Remember when his mate said this is the first time she felt good about being an America. How fast was that covered up and did anyone notice for the reaming race she was gone. Another way to fool the fools.

      4) Now the destruction of America. Anyone with half a brain knows what made this country great

      A) Free market the ability of the people yes even the fools who follow him. To make money by doing a service a sale of items, education to better their live there are a great many junior colleges. There are many ways to bring America to its knees

      B) The unions were great helped the working people to join and force business

To pay higher wages Nothing wrong with that concept at the time. However we now live in a world with many countries willing to do the same job for much less.

Now the only thing unions do is to drive companies to use or move to different countries

      C) Our country used to be a very rich country other countries looked up to us now they have to look down to us.

      D) Now we come to our destruction The obama plan

      1) It will put so many demands of business the they will have to close their business

      2) It will force a medical policy that will give millions of illegal’s to be able to get medical help. And the cost will be put on the people who using their brains and hands to join the free market but guess what their wont be any free market soon it will nationalize banks ,large companies ,health care these are just a few companies it will find more way to bring our way of life to end.

In time it will become the friend of the muslims because that is what it is

He will abandon Israel the only true friend we have . We have now.

how unfortunate you refer to stupid illogical arguments rather than just call Obama out on what is indisputable in fact...if all you seek is to tear him down, start with Jan 21 and go from there...that will give you more than enough to make your case, but it will be far more credible.

sorry Lisa I refer to the truth and in about a year you will understand. Just watch how he puts the US in the hands of the muslim like Afghanistan the commander there asked for troops months ago oboma said then he would have his answer in two weeks it took him months. All that did was give a welcome to the taliban to attack. He delayed for a reason

I understand perfectly right now. He is escalating this war...a war that cannot be won. No one, in his administration, or GW's can define "win" because this is a different war...think about it...the terroists seek their win through terror...best way to do that is take down an economy. Obama's actions in continuing this war he knows we cannot win, show that he is as oblivious to the real threat on our soil as GW was. After we spend trillions more...what will you define as a win? Slow them down in Afghanistan only to have new cells pop up elsewhere? For every one terrorist we disable, two more will appear...we embolden them by giving them the power to have us chase them...it will never end.

        {just read through this and see that I have wrote a dissertation lol..but I do feel strong about this.. so thank you to those who chose to read it all the way through.. lol.}

"It takes a village, my friends"

        respectfully Arlene I dissagree...

Its that type of cliché that gets used too often, it doesn't take a village. Thats why we are in the mess we are in now is because we expect the rest of the nation to take care of us, and our government promotes this, Rep and Dem.

And when you have a nation of people all expecting others to take the responsibility, nothing gets done...especialy when society its self is teaching that its all about personal wants, IE, what makes me feel good, what can I buy for me, what will benefit me. The singular society is slowly but surely being propagated where we all become islands unto ourselves, with no responsability..let the government/village do that for us.

I am the furthest thing from a bible thumper, but we are destroying the family unit by constantly caring on the ideals that the family is no more, and parents have no clue how to raise their children so it takes a 'village' to do it for them.

Case and point is how many children are now in the foster care program, and how many are turned back into families that any reasonable thinking person would never put a child back into? How many single moms are there out there where the fathers are told don't worry about that responsibility just pay your money and its ok?

We are teaching our young men that as long as you pay, you don't have to be a parent to that child. Then the state steps in and supports the single mom and the children till those children are grown, or they too become part of the usury of the state. See it becomes a cycle that only token attempts have been made to wean people off of. Once again we are showing our young people that they don't have to take responsibility for their actions so they grow up and spread it more.

As I said, if enough keep spouting that slogan long enough people start to believe it. The first time I heard that saying, was during bill clintons run for office from hillary. how many years ago?.. and look at us now, more and more people are falling into line with it.

So while your correct in the statement of it not taking one prez, god, or 'Government', I would point out that that isn't what the powers that be want us to follow. What happened to taking care of ones own business/family? There was a time when a person rose or fell by the fruits of their hands and was proud of the accomplishment that they reaped from the learning. Not anymore. The premise is 'What can I' get from the government to live 'my' life. Yet how many times have we heard the saying.."Even in a crowd I feel all alone." How many times have we ourselves felt that way and haven't understood why. It doesn't take a village, it takes families to care for each other.

As humans we are social and yet we go about our daily lives as if we arn't. Do we actually know the person in the cubicles around us? Do we take the time to get to know the shop keepers where we shop? Do we actually take the time to get to know our neighbors, children's teachers, mail person,.. our own families?.. How many people are clear across the country from their families because of that all important job. How often do we actually talk to our siblings, parents, grandparents. Oh I will call tomorrow, I don't have time today, I have to go to work, go the store, have this or that to do. Used to be it was abhorrent to consider putting our elderly in 'Homes', but now we are too busy to bother caring for the people who raised us. Just as we are too busy to care for the children we have.

Our school system has our children, from the time they are 3 until 22. They are in school nine months out of the year on average, 5 days a week.. added up, our children are being influenced by a none family person three times longer per year than the family is. They are with the family on average 4 hours a day during the week and then weekends, for nine months, then only two to three months for summer break..but, then, how many send their children to camp/ daycare/ babysitters/ or have nannys for the summer?.. Now the government is considering funding for places for children from birth to go to, all on the ideal that it will help their development. What happened to mom and dad helping that development?

You see what I mean about society propagating the notions that as long as self is satisfied and government is there to take responsibility its all ok, and we are following like lemmings to the sea. Government was put into place to enforce the laws of the land that 'WE THE PEOPLE' put into place to insure equality for the nation, not to dictate to us what we should or shouldn't do in our private lives.. Not to take over the responsibilities that we find hard to handle.

Perhaps this is what the whole 2012 thing is about. Maybe it has become such a big thing because people are subconsciously looking for a way back to the core of what drives humans, what they are missing in their lives. A connection within, the need to have a foundation to grow from, be that birth ...or aunt/ uncle/ grandmother/ grandfather/ sister/ brother/ adopted, its still family. Perhaps the change will be that those who are missing that important part will find it...the connection of family,

Not true, I meant it takes a village of PEOPLE

YOU and I, in our OWN community to take care of each other

That's what that means. It means NOT to rely upon government for

every little thing. WE the PEOPLE are able to watch out for each other

on a local level Then rise to speak to our representatives collectively

That is all. It is real simple, but there has been too much greed and power-mongering

from many in our country that has created this present mess.

Connection in Family is exactly what I was speaking of.

My family, your family and the family of our community working together to resolve

        our local issues.

        thanks ...peace

The End is inevitable. Take California where right now college students are protesting and laying siege to buildings over a $2,500 tuition increase. So what do these kids want, what are they objecting to? Do they want their allowances from Mom & Dad to remain intact? Do they object to the idea of working to pay for the increase? Considering how many stretch four year programs into five or six, and how many have turned Class-less Fridays into a scheduling art, I would not be surprised by the answers. The new, exorbitant tuition total is $10,000, the equivalent of a decent part time job. To me that is still dirt cheap! A good thing!

But these kids complain, protest, march and riot. If they win a tuition roll back, then what? These are the children of parents who want to pay less taxes, the same parents who by the way cover most of the tuitions. If they win, then the parents will lose - Mom & Dad will pay more in taxes. These bright youngsters, to whom this concept seems incomprehensible, are our future. Do you still doubt that the end is inevitable?

However, we could use some help in "preparing for the End". Thousands of immigration candidates, both legal and illegal have adjusted their plans (they decided not to come to the US). Thousands of immigrants did likewise (returned to India, China, wherever). We need to do the same to our plans. For example, should we turn our homes into mother and daughter set ups, so when President Palin kills Medicare and Social Security, we can live out our old age under the same roof with our children, rather than under a bridge ? Should we cancel our cell phone contracts and curtail our internet use to ebay and Amazon, so when the Patriot Act is extended to Democrats, we will be less likely to be caught (shopping is very Republican, so that will be OK)? Do we invest in Goldman Sachs, as the only sure thing to get through the End without missing a single CEO bonus?

Remember, the End is merely another transition point, just more difficult to see past. So if you have thoughts on beyond the inevitable End, it would be most welcome.

I cannot believe that so many people think Sarah is a good candidate. I wish I could see in her what others say they see. She just seems like a war monger to me.

I am for Ron Paul and what he stands for. Sarah P. seems to want people to think she is like him in her thinking. She tries to do the tea party thing that btw Ron Paul's people started but they have swayed from the message that RP stands by. If she just would quit saying the war is necessary I might lean more towards her if she ran. But the fact that she quit her governorship makes me feel not too good about her as well.

I am not for anybody who thinks this war has to continue. That includes Obama. I knew he was going to deepen the war in the ME I don't like it and I don't see how they get away with it it is very disappointing to me.

Agree...see my post #9.3. Palin never has been a legitimate candidate for V P or Pres...McCain's camp did not even vett her...we did it here on Newsvine though! Ron Paul would be my candidate of choice for 2012...I just hope he is working now to build his base....I absolutley loved that he called for an audit of the Fed...if enough people get "fed-up" he might have a chance!

"Repent ye sinners for the end is nigh".. sorry, I just couldn't resist

"And when you have a nation of people all expecting others to take the responsibility, nothing gets done...especialy when society its self is teaching that its all about personal wants, IE, what makes me feel good, what can I buy for me, what will benefit me. The singular society is slowly but surely being propagated where we all become islands unto ourselves, with no responsability..let the government/village do that for us"

        That's very Kennedy and Reganesque'

That is a point well said, We sometimes feel that Government should do everything for us, and we readily relinquish our responsibilities, although I believe a lot of people are getting that message now...the next thing is they'll wipe our A**

It will very difficult to find a candidate who is not owned. Ron Paul is great but, lately I see him looking kinda weary. The audit the fed bill has been a very brave and tough fight for him. There are people that support him that are younger. His son is running for a senate seat in Kentucky.

        Great article as usual!

I would vote for Ron this go-around, but he is frankly now too old to count on...otherwise, he would be my man. I want him to "annoint" who might be our next best hope...perhaps the son, but not quick enough. Lisa...seriously...we need someone we can trust, and someone who won't do the about-face Obama did. We need someone for all of us.
