During the campaign, Obama promised his supporters that he would use the Defense cuts within the Sequestration bill he signed into law to “Nation-build at home.” Unfortunately for them, in the third debate he said unequivocally to America: 

“Sequestration will NOT happen.” 

So, which will it be President Obama? Who are you lying to this time…your own supporters, or conservatives? Either way, you lied AGAIN to someone, it’s just a matter now of who will suffer from your decision. 

My prediction is that you will throw your entire agenda that relies on Defense cuts out the window, and your supporters who counted on you out the window too. And here is why: 

1. If past is prelude, they either won’t notice, or won’t care that you lied to them…(again.)
2. Or, as you don’t have to worry about re-election, you won’t care about what you promised your base. 

Now, if you truly want to do something great for the good of the ENTIRE country like you also said, and be President to ALL of us, then this would be the right call, and signal some degree of hope for the next four years. Don’t worry about your rabid base, they will adore you no matter what you do…think of YOUR legacy. (Yes, I am shamelessly appealing to your HUGE ego!) 

The other decision you can make is to show you were lying in that debate to conservatives. THAT would signal the direction you are going to take for the next four years: 

The utter, and irreversible destruction of our country. You will cause the immediate loss of nearly 700,000 jobs. You will cause our economy to crash, huge tax increases for EVERYBODY, and our society to implode…yep, you will cause us to fall over that fiscal cliff. So which ‘legacy’ you goin’ for?

 Obama is slated to FINALLY give a Press Conference tomorrow on this subject….will his supporters be watching? Doubtful.  So go ahead President Obama…do the right thing. Your supporters NEVER hold you accountable, so the choice should be a very easy one. 

Live up to your statement during the debate, and that would be a great first step towards “Nation Building at home.” And for Pete’s Sake…PLEASE stop lying to ANY of us…it is not an honorable show of respect towards the office you hold.
